Update: Amazon iactually trying to purchase Twitch for a billion dollars.
What was suppose to be Google in talks to buy Twitch, is now actually Amazon in talks to purchase the video streaming service according to the Wall Street Journal. The acquisition will cost the company $1,000,000,000 dollars.
Twitch, is a streaming site for e-sports and video games. It was created by the people behind Justin.tv. According to Twitch's website, they receive over 45 million visitors per month. Occasionally, gaming sites such as Joystiq and Gamespot use Twitch to live stream games. Just recently with the release of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Twitch was able to create an app that broadcast game streams onto their servers straight from the consoles.
