With both Elementary and Sherlock just ending their latest seasons on TV not too long ago, the latest Sherlock Holmes game is what's new in the detective's world.
On June 25, 2014 a new trailer was released for Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments. The 23 minute video is all about gameplay, and shows off a little bit of the first of six cases in the game.
The first case is about the death of Peter Carey, a sailor, who was harpooned to a wall. First, Sherlock interviews Carey's wife, but she doesn't seem to have a clue how he died. Waiting at night for something miraculously to happen, a former worker for Carey, John Hopley Neligan, shows up breaking into the cabin. Sherlock takes him into interrogation and believes he's behind the crime, but he ends up taking a look at the gardener also for details about the murder. In the end of the video, the case is solved, and Sherlock figures out who committed the crime.
Besides the story line of the game being shown, some features of the game are shown such as interrogating suspects, examining clues, piecing deductions (linking clues to a task), looking at case work during loading screens, playing mini games to solve mysteries, and deciding the criminal to solve the case.
Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is being developed by Frogwares Games, will be released on September 2, 2014.
